Khamzin Nurlan Aitzhanovich

Deputy Chair of the Board

Nurlan Aitzhanovich Khamzin is a specialist in finance, economics and public administration, with extensive professional experience in the banking sector and government institutions.

He holds higher education qualifications in several fields. In 2002, he graduated from the State Academy of Management with a degree in Finance and Credit; in 2012, from the Kazakhstan Institute of Ways of Communication with a degree in Law; and in 2019, from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University with a degree in a technical field.

Nurlan Khamzin has over 20 years of professional experience. He began his career in 2002 as Deputy Director of Daria LLP. In the same year, he joined the Satpayev Regional Branch of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC as a Cashier-Controller and subsequently served as a Manager in the Credit Department, where he worked until 2004.

In 2005-2006, he served as an Accountant at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2007, he worked as an Analyst in the Monitoring Department of Astana Finance leasing company.

From 2007 to 2018, he worked at the Astana Branch of Tsesnabank JSC, progressing from Credit Officer to Head of Department and holding various positions in the banking sector.

His professional career pivoted to the quasi-public sector in 2019. He served as Chief Economist at the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue. In 2023, he was appointed Director of the Department of Economics, Finance and Administrative Affairs.

In March 2026, he was appointed Deputy Chair of the Board of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue.

His areas of responsibility include financial and economic activities, administrative management, and organizational development.
