Department of Religious Studies Research

Mission:

To conduct scholarly research into the religious sphere in Kazakhstan and abroad with a view to supporting state policy in the field of religion and strengthening the secular nature of the State.

Key Functions:

  • Conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of religion.
  • Preparing analytical reports, studies, and recommendations on matters of religious policy.
  • Participating in the organization and substantive preparation of meetings of the Congress, its Secretariat, and Working Group.
  • Analyzing radicalization processes and developing preventive approaches.
  • Preparing publications and participating in academic forums, seminars, and conferences.
  • Cooperating with international and domestic research institutions.
  • Supporting the Center in implementing research, educational, and dialogue projects.
