Yessenova Dianna Bekhanovna

Deputy Chair of the Board

Dianna Bekhanovna Yessenova is a religious studies expert and analyst with over 15 years of professional experience in the field of state–religion relations.

She began her career in 2011 as a Research Fellow at the International Center for Cultures and Religions under the Agency for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since then, she has contributed to the development of national policies and strategic documents on religious affairs, as well as expert initiatives focused on preventing violent extremism and addressing related issues.

She is the author of more than 20 methodological manuals and recommendations on current issues in state–religion relations, interfaith dialogue, extremism, terrorism, and related topics.

She is a recipient of the state medal “Yeren Enbegi Ushin.”

She currently manages matters related to international cooperation, communications, implementation of initiatives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, as well as analytical and coordination activities at the International Center.
